Cycling for Life
Courage on Wheels
It is said that there will always be a child in every person. There are things in our childhood that we cannot seem to forget and regardless of who we are yesterday and what we've become now, we cannot afford not to smile when we remember how we struggled to mount on that saddle and grip tightly on those handlebars just to prove that we can drive through any terrain from an old and rusty bicycle.
The desire is within any kid ages 4-6 years old. It's like a taste of heaven on earth when someone successfully learns to balance on two wheels and looking forward, maneuvers through bumps and obstacles, avoiding not to swipe people walking to and fro a street or trying not to crash on a huge tree or damage property from a vending machine stand.
Despite the risks and danger of riding a bicycle, scratching or bruising our bodies from a simple accident did not stop us from doing what we consider the ultimate ride of our lives. Somehow and somewhere along the way, it taught us a lot of lessons in life. Being brave to conquer our own fear. The faith that we can do things on our own. The perseverance to achieve our desires in life and lastly, the courage to face consequences or results of our actions and or decisions that made us a strong and a determined person today.
