Policy Name: Student Experience Policy
1 Background Information:
This policy shall be known as Academic Excellence and Lifetime Functional Learning Policy (AELFL). It has been noted and observed that in the traditional scenario of teaching and learning process, mentors focus their daily lessons more on the very idea of the author’s perspective. Meaning, the core ideas, and principles were geared to develop only the cognitive aspect of learners, thus, other domains of learning were left out. Every course objective should also take into consideration the development of the affective and the psychomotor domains of every learner which sometimes are discussed in religious or spiritual gatherings and in the performance stages of Physical Education. Creating a more vivid description of the aforementioned situation gives us the idea that students are bombarded with ideas or principles and all they have to do is listen and listen. There may be a little reaction but will only create a rare exchange of ideas in the four corners of the classroom. Learning becomes partial on the part of the learners because the totality of their being is not somehow explored. Learning does not take place only in one setting. There are many ways of learning aside from the very own experiences of learners. Mentors should be creative in applying different approaches to their respective learners. Engaging them in worthwhile activities aside from lectures and discussions will definitely make a difference in their lives. The experience is retained and they can use it for their own survival.
